Dr. Cain has a masters degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Specialization, and is a licensed Naturopathic Physician. She specializes in the treatment of: Bipolar Disorder, Trauma (PTSD), postpartum depression/ anxiety, and behavioral disorders in children (including ADD/ADHD). Dr. Cain is a member of the Michigan Naturopathic Association, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association, she is a contributing writer for Naturopathic Doctor News and Review, and served as clinical and didactic faculty at The Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.

Katherine Heineman, DO at Holistic Care Approach

Dr. Heineman is a fully licensed, board-eligible physician in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She specializes in the apprenticed art of osteopathy that has been passed down, literally “hand to hand,” over the last 150 years. At Holistic Care Approach, Dr. Heineman will work with all of the holistic health care offerings and provide her specific expertise to approach health care problems including low back pain, neck pain, other somatic pain, headaches, traumatic injuries, pain of pregnancy, and treatment of infants with chronic infections, colic, plagiocephaly, torticollis, or birth trauma.

An osteopathic approach to medicine is ideal for patients looking for alternative solutions to chronic health issues. Dr. Heineman will commonly screen for nutritional deficiencies and offer expanded testing for thyroid, adrenal and other hormonal dysfunction. She will explore alternative approaches that are used in place of, or in addition to, prescription medications. Dr. Heineman fully discusses treatment plans regarding any abnormalities found in testing.

Kathryn then passed an examination from the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board to become a Board Certified Naturopathic Doctor in 2008 and has been seeing clients for natural health consultations and therapies for more than 5 years. Most recently Dr. Kathryn has received training from world renowned author and practitioner Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride to become a Certified GAPS Practitioner for dealing with the connection between gut health and our mental/physical ailment.
